This seems like a book that everyone was talking about after its release, which inspired me to pick it up soon after as well. The plot is a heartwarming one about relationships and friendships that definitely makes you feel uplifted by the time you finish the novel. The characters were likeable and relatable, making the reading of the book super enjoyable. The novel felt very realistic, so it was almost unsurprising to read that the book was actually based on a member of the author's own family, bringing something a little extra to the story.
The book overall brought together some of my favourite things and lessons; namely that some good food can fix anything, even the worst kind of heartbreak.
