I loved this book so much. From the beautiful cover to the awesome character of Cecily, I want to be Cecily!
This book is about heartbreak, relationships, food and taking control of your life. Kate thought she had everything planned for her life and suddenly found herself single, forty and back living at home.
To try to sort her life out Kate starts volunteering at a local nursing home (baking for the older people) and meets the wonderfully grumpy Cecily. While Kate spends time with Cecily, she is encouraged to put herself back out there and not be afraid of what might come her way.
Kate decides to sort her life out taking her career and love life in hand and finds herself with a few different opportunities coming her way.
The age gap friendship between Kate and Cecily is beautiful and makes me want to have a friendship like that with someone. I think anyone who enjoys books about friendship, love and food will enjoy this lovely book.
