I thought this was a gorgeous read about love, life and friendship. I thought the author wrote this beautifully and I loved all the characters, especially the main characters Cecily and Kate. Kate and Cecily start the most unlikely friendship when Kate's friend drops her at a residential home to do some volunteering, to keep her mind off her commitment phobe boyfriend. Kate loves food and books and so does Cecily, who lends her a book with menus for every occasion, can this book help Kate change her life for the better. Hearbreaking sad at times but also very funny. I especially loved the time Kate went to her friends wedding, I thought this was hilarious. I loved Cecily's life story and was so happy this character was based on a real person.
