Nick asks her to move in just before they go on their first proper holiday together - but midway through their break he gets cold feet and suddenly Kate finds herself on a break of another sort...……
She ends up volunteering to do cookery demos at the local (high class) retirement home for ladies. It's there that she meets the irascible Cecily. Cecily says it how it is - and she doesn't approve of Nick and the waiting game that Kate is playing.
