I started this book not really knowing what to expect as it isn't my usual genre but I was wonderfully surprised. Although I found it a teeny bit slow to start with, once the relationship between Kate and Cecily started to develop I was completely hooked. The writing is easy to read and develops the story well with the characters believable and intriguing. The story follows the lives of the 2 main characters, one lived through memories directly influencing the life of the other. The memories made me laugh and cry and it takes a lot to make me cry! The underlying narrative of food is obviously a winner and I for one would love to get my hands on a copy of such a book as Thought for Food, it sounds delicious!
