I love the cover and premise of the story but the synopsis, which invites readers to "Join a child and a host of animal friends...", feels a bit vague. I guess I would prefer it if the characters had names. The extract itself is wonderful and I found the illustrations and narrative very engaging. I don't have any children of my own but I would certainly consider buying this book as a gift for other people's children.
