I loved the front cover of this story book and on dipping into it the illustrations inside continued to delight. These really are pictures that you want to share with a young child - there is so much to see and they are a treat.
I must admit the "it's OK to give it a go" message didn't really strike me. I would have liked it to be supported by examples rather than simply the message. That way it would be easier to talk with a child to explore their own uncertainties and to provide reassurance that it is indeed OK to explore your world in your own way. So - maybe a book I would take out of the library for a quick look, but probably not one that would earn a permanent slot on my bookcase.
