Thank you to Bonnier Books for a copy of this beautifully illustrated book for children.

As the world becomes more difficult to explain to our young people (global pandemic, wars and rising prices), this book will help children think about being their true self rather then copying friends - to try new things that they may enjoy, and to understand that things don't always go right first time.

I work with young people aged 14-19, so this book is a little young for them, but we are seeing a mental health crisis in our children in schools, and having a book like this to share at home or at a Primary school, may help children to learn the importance of resilience and turning to others for support at an earlier age.

The illustrations are stunning and the messages in the story are important. Although this could be shared with pre school children, personally for the majority of children, I would recommend reception or Key Stage one to chat about the messages.
