First off this is such a beautiful book and I think the images probably make it a lot more than the actual text. The images are striking, but perhaps more appreciated by an older audience than a younger audience as my daughter has never actually picked it up to read by herself, which surprises me because of the love of animals. I love the idea of this book having a special message and a lot of books currently out there at the moment have a similar message. I’m not sure it’s told in the most interesting way for its younger aimed target audience and that is why I only rated it three stars in the end. I enjoyed it and I would read it again, but I wouldn’t say it’s going to be one of the favourites sitting on our book shelf. Perhaps a good one to refer to when you want to get the important message of the book across though. Enjoyed it and all in all three stars!
