The first thing that hooked me into this book was the art - the soft tones add to the instant feeling of comfort for younger readers and the illustrations are absolutely beautiful.
In my opinion, this is a message especially needed for young people at this time as the world is becoming a bit more uncertain and confusing. In addition, I think in general the messages that come through in this book are inspiring and hopefully soothe children - you don't need to know all of the answers right now and it's okay not to always succeed. The important thing is to try your best and be yourself. The story was definitely an interesting read and if I was a child I know for a fact I would've enjoyed and been inspired by this lyrical tale.
The journey that the child and all of their animal friends venture on in the book and the things they face was a pleasure to read about - of course with the beautiful art who wouldn't immediately become hooked in!
