My children and I read a lot of books and I mean A LOT. We have literally hundreds of books at home and we visit the library most weeks, so it takes a really special book to stand out but this beautiful book did just that.
My children are young - six and four years old - and are at the stage of their lives where they are really starting to find their feet, so a book about the importance of being yourself and discovering new things, despite not knowing how they will turn out, particularly resonated.
The story was beautiful and I'm not ashamed to say that it made me cry the first time I read it. The accompanying illustrations by Clara Anganuzzi are absolutely gorgeous with a vibrant colour palette, which my children loved.
All in all, I cannot praise this book enough. It conveyed an important message in a fun way - a message that I want my children to carry with them throughout their lives. It is a new favourite in our house and one I truly can't recommend enough to anyone who has children ❤️
