I have an 8 year old boy so have read a lot of these types of books in the past. It’s cute and has a nice message but doesn’t really stand out from the hundreds of others kids books out there.
It has some nice messages like “all you can be is your best, when you can” which give positive and reassuring thoughts. Although the target audience is probably a little young for such existential inspiration.
The illustrations are good and I’m sure small children would enjoy the animals and bright colours. It features adult animals with their babies, so there’s also a learning opportunity to talk about the names of young animals, I think nurseries and preschools would like this aspect.
I could maybe see myself reading this to my boy at bedtime when he was 2 or 3 but I doubt it would have been on of those books he insists I read at every bedtime (as is so often the case with their favourite bedtime book)
