I absolutely loved the first look at this book. I thought that the main character looked relatable, with an appropriate representation of beauty standards. This ties in beautifully with the message the that I thought the story was conveying. That we should all be ourselves, that we should be our best selfs and be happy with the outcomes we achieve when doing so. The story it’s self is written in a way that allows a reader of any age to connect with what’s being said. The idea that we all in life no matter our age feel a little lost sometimes and that’s okay is a perfect message to convey in a children's book. Finally the illustrations are amazing! The animals that are depicted fill you with a warm happy feeling of peace. The background of the pictures are filled with eye catching colours that would have a child (and parent) engage, satisfied and pleased with every page turn!
