Me and my son read a bedtime story every night and often go to the library. Not every book catches my emotions and is so easy to talk about with my son but this book was lovely.
It helped me to communicate with my child all the different questions that come up in the story, such as being yourself and discovering new things as you grow. Who will I be?, what will happen? And where will I go? It’s ok not to know how things will turn out. These are important and children will need reassurance as they grow up.
The illustrator, Clara Anganuzzi, did a wonderful job with the soft colours and beautiful drawings.
This is a thought provoking book that can engage young readers with all of these questions and thoughts that they will have. What a fun way to get parents and children to talk. I will be keeping hold of this book to hopefully pass to son so he may read it to his children.
