Reading this to my children was refreshing, finally a story telling our kids that ok not to be ok. A great story for kids and adults to share together. There is a great emphasise on adult mental health and if we teach children this lesson for an early age they will have greater understanding when they become adults and want to teach their children.
The book cover is lovely and very calming, and the book in the way it is structure it’s seems to flow throughout. It’s is clear and precise and straight to the point without any waffling from the author.
My son who is 3 didn’t really understand the story but he loved pointing to the animals and talking about what they are doing. Whereas my 7 year old daughter, after we had read it, asked me what the point of the book is and it helped us start a conversation about feeling and how it is ok to not be ok all the time.
