I read this with my spectrum son as he loves picture books.
He sat and listened to all of it which is a miracle as apart from storytime he is very energetic.
I think the bright colours of the illustrations and the cute animals really held and engaged his interest in the story.
He may have been a little too young to have appreciated the nuances of the themes about a person always being themselves and to keep trying even if we fail at things to just start over and to just always do your best in life but the whole thing had a really positive premise and a motivational message.
A nice, big chunky picture book for little hands to hold and lively illustrations to gain a child's interest with bright, bold colours and of a long enough length to make it a good sit down and read aloud book but not overlong so that younger children lose interest so think it was pitched about right.
Overall it was well enjoyed by my son and will be a lovely addition to his little bookshelf.
