There is no doubt this is a beautiful book, the illustrations are lovely. It has got a nice message about trying but I didn't find it very concise. Maybe the point is to start a conversation with the little one about whatever is going on in their life? A lot of kids books have a message or morale in them while also having a more exciting story. This one doesn't really have a story in it as such just the messages so I'm not sure that it will become a favourite with my little ones. I think maybe it would be better if there was a bit less going on and more of a story. I guess it's meant to link with the pictures to chat with the kids about what's happening? I found the message a bit confusing as it says on the back it's about being yourself and trying new things but then there seems to be a bit of a sub theme about loss and memories which seems to be a different conversation altogether.
