This is a beautifully illustrated story about a child and a whole range of animals. The animals range from those from the jungle - like elephants, leopards and a zebra to those from Antarctica - like penguins. I liked the message of the story which involved all of the characters having a think about things and wondering about trying things out.
There is a lot of reassurance throughout the book as we find out that everything is ok whether you join in with others or not. The writing had a repeating, soothing effect that helps readers to relax and enjoy the pictures and story and perhaps reflect on things for themselves. The message shared that - if you don’t have all the answers this is ok too feels really good for the adults reading whom are always being as why? and how?!
For all readers I liked the message that the most important thing is to try your best and be yourself and enjoy your life.
