The cover of the book sets the scene, a little boy and a big polar bear staring into the sky watching the birds. This style of illustration throughout, in deceptively simple bright colours and shades, is powerful and also relaxing. The book is large format, 25 cms square, and has 32 pages, and simple messages, around 4 lines of text per page. It is all about telling children that it is OK to make mistakes, and to self doubt, because you are wonderful and can achieve so much in your life to come. The rear cover is typical, to the right the sun is setting and birds are flying left to right, while in the foreground two penguins are standing side by side, with one of them having its arm / flipper round the shoulder of the other, in a flowery meadow by the sea with mountains across the water. I'm sure that children will cherish this book and come to read it often, or even just to look at the pictures again. It is en uplifting book, well targeted and produced.
