The World's First Rollercoaster and Other Amazing Inventions is a concise comic-strip fact file - eight chapters/sections and 96 pages, to be precise - which tells the stories behind various innovations and their inventors from rollercoasters to modern day technology such as video games and tablets via forms of transport, domestic items, food and drink, clothes and footwear, sport and games for children/young people.

Ideal perhaps for those who enjoy old-school comics such as the Beano and the Dandy, books like these could have the potential to help make subjects such as science and technology more accessible in the same way that a series like Horrible Histories (which started off in a similar illustrated format to this particular title before becoming a TV series) made the past seem more interesting to younger generations.
