This is a really good book. Done like a comic book it is full of colourful pictures and useful facts about everyday things are who invented them plus the bits that went wrong or got used for something completely different to what the inventor had wanted, for example, did you know that bubble wrap was made to be a wallpaper? It may not have looked great but it would have been good to be sitting in your chair and popping the wallpaper, television would never have been invented because of having fun with the wallpaper.
I was really surprised that things that we think are new today have actually been around for years, sometimes hundreds of years, for example, the electric car was used before petrol ones.
I think no matter if a child likes history or not they would like this and the adult would enjoy reading it with them.
The only reason I took a star off it the size of it makes it difficult to hold, a child would probably need to lay it out.
Would recommend.
