The book is split into chapters which makes navigating the book easier but it is the kind of book that it's also fun to just flick to any page for a few quick facts if you're short on time.
The facts are shown in a variety of ways, some have just a few lines description, some are in the style of a comic strip and others are focal pages on specific inventors or inventions. I like that the method changes so regularly as it keeps the quite lengthy book interesting and engaging on each page.
The cartoon style illustrations are lots of fun and there are many silly aspects which the children love. The page at the start of silly made up inventions shows very well the seriousness of this book but there is still so much to learn along with all the fun.
I like that there is a place at the end of the book for children to create their own invention as it is a good way to get them thinking and the result might even have been inspired by something that's been read in the previous pages.
