Thank you for letting me review this book even though its meant for children I found this book fascinating and funny along the way the illustrations are brilliant and I love the page at the end where it asks its young readers to invent something what a brilliant way to engage young minds rather than use computers etc this us also a great learning tool as yhere are bits of history in there but it is done in such a way that it is fascinating but not boring this book is a must for all children's book shelves this book is ideal for parents whose children always ask how was this made or where did it come from and why do we use this or do it this way praise must go to the author Mike barfield whose knowledge and making things easy for children to understand I wish there had been something like this when I was growing up use illustrations are brilliant and some are very funny
