What a beautifully evocative start to a book. I was instantly somersaulted back in time, to the intense days of war; air raids, blackouts, panic. The author conveyed the image so well I almost felt like I was there.
I’m intrigued to see where this story is heading and what parts the two sisters play. Very well written, this is a book I would look forward to reading.
