Not for me

Immediately I have to disclose the fact that I read the beginning of the book at a weird state, not fully being able to focus. Lack of distinction for when dialogue takes place did not make it easier. In addition, I have never been particularly interested in any historic fiction or even non-fiction.

As a result, I wasn't too drawn-in, which is what I find the most important for me to decide to read further and appreciate the book.
I think it would be nice to follow how life changes for the 21-year-old girl, but altogether I cannot really imagine what new this book would bring to the "discussion" on war (not that it's necessary).

By no means am I saying that this is not a promising book - it just wasn't my cup of tea.
