I enjoyed this first impression. It grabs your attention from the outset and opens with a bang (quite literally), then fills in a bit of back story. The two sisters both seem to be likeable characters - although totally different - one just interested in helping the war effort pack, the other more interested in marriage. (So far, I prefer Emma...).
