I've not read either fiction or non-fiction about Ireland during the Second World War so the contents of this book will be entirely new to me. We're thrown straight into the drama, the fear of the first aerial bombardment after red alerts, and this is where the author is excellent in showing how the mind reacts in those moments of panic. I hope I'm lucky enough to win as this sounds really good.
