These days is a story set in Belfast in 1941 during the second world war. It follows to sisters lives Audrey and Emma over four nights of what is called the Belfast blitz. It is an important part of there lives where they are grown up and trying to decide which way to go in there lives. Audrey has a boyfriend who she is due to marry but is not sure if her heart is really set on him. Emma is also going through her own turmoil after falling for a girl who she works along side. Is shows that whilst the war is going on around them they still have a life to live and shows how everyone rallys round in times of need to help each other out.
There is some bits of the story where it really makes you stop and think about what people actually lived through and how they managed to just carry on through it.
I would not normally read a story like this but i an really glad i did, i really enjoyed it and would love to read another.
