One Moment In Time
If you are a fan of Jean Fullerton you will most definitely like this charming story. I say charming, it's pretty much the opposite, in depth details of the Belfast Blitz way back when. However you can relate so much to the main characters; one sister trying to figure out if she wants to marry her future husband, and the other sister involved in a relationship with another woman. Both situations neither can talk about to anyone, as it was in those days.
I loved the style of writing, silly things like no speech marks when people were talking, but you didn't miss them, the story just flowed on. The author described each situation so well that you felt that you were there alongside them, experiencing it first hand.
This book is a real eye opener of how much people lost in the second world war, not just family, but their homes, their relationships and in some cases a part of their soul.
