The writing in this book seems to be well-researched and knowledgeable, and enjoyable really to read but honestly this entire story does not seem like it's for me. I've never really enjoyed historical fiction like this, and although the characters seem enjoyable and the historical vibe can definitely be for others, honestly what I've read so far and from what I've heard it does seem to lack a little bit of depth within the novel. A short novel, so you could probably soar through it and read it quite quickly, but as I said I'm just not into it and I feel as if I would have the opposite experience if I was to read the full thing.
If you're into this type of book or historical fiction, definitely give it a go as it honestly does objectively seem like a good bit of historical fiction but as I said, I'm not into it unfortunately and therefore give it 3 stars.
