Having read the previous two novels, I have been eagerly awaiting the third. Being a British Muslim, it’s refreshing to see the author displaying the similarities that we have in the multicultural society we live in; such as the complexity of mother, son and daughter-in-law relationship. As with previous novels the author clever use of humour draws you in and you are intrigued to find out whether Bilal is able to build the mosque and fulfil his mother’s dying wish.
