Such an engaging FI - witty, intriguing and really whets the appetite for a fascinating and humorous expose of village life in England. I immediately warmed to central protagonist, Bilal, and the humorous snapshot of colourful village life provided an insight into the more contentious personalities within the village likely to be reluctant to change.

Involving and revelatory, I cannot wait to see preconceptions challenged and find out how deep England’s cultural divide really is. A contemporary look at Muslim life in 2019 with an emphasis on integration and confronting ingrained attitudes - on both sides.

An undemanding read, but a moving and thought-provoking one.
