From the opening pages my first impression is that this will be not only be an engaging story, full of wisdom, compassion and humour, but will be thought-provoking in its exploration of the "politics" of village life and the prejudices which so often lie just below the surface in any community, only appearing when something happens to change, or challenge the status qou. I'd love to make this journey with the vibrant cast of characters!
