Okay, from the beginning I want to say that not much actually happens in the book, and by that I mean it's pretty much restricted to the domestic lives of Bilal and the people of his town and the conflict that comes with Bilal wanting to build a mosque per his mother's dying wish and the people's reaction - including his wife's - that come with it. It was a bit slow to start off with but I actually found myself enjoying it as the story developed. And I loved Bilal - he was such a sweet person, and the way he dealt with his mother's wishes and his own internal conflict was really well done. I have always wondered what would happen if something like this ever took place - and, well, at least I have my answer.
