Although, I knew that this would be a good book, I was a bit hesitant to start reading it. I could not imagine how a book that started off with a death scene could be funny.
The main character (Bilal) decided to fulfil his mother’s wish and build a mosque in Babbels End. However, Bilal and his family are the only Muslims in the village.
The story deals with modern and real life problems. It is a very well written book and is very funny and entertaining at times.
The characters have unique personalities, are relatable and likeable.
I think that the way this book was written also adds to the reader’s pleasure.
Overall, this book definitely deserves more readers as it is truly incredible and well worth the time.
