This book was such an enjoyable read. The characters were warm, engaging, very human and very believable. There were a few different storylines within it and it felt like each of the characters had their own plot line and developed throughout.

I loved the storyline, particularly in a post-Brexit, slightly more racist society. It was interesting to imagine what it would be like in the village that I live in what would happen if someone wanted to build a mosque. So I guess, it felt relatable from the characters who were firmly in favour of new things to those who hated the concept of it. You could easily picture each of the characters and their reactions.

There was also a lot more to it than the main storyline. There was a lot about different relationships and marriages and how happy or unhappy these can be.

I not only wanted to find out what would happen next, but I also wanted to enjoy where the story would take me as the plot developed.
