The sneak leak of this book lays out the intentions of the novel quickly and easily and sets the scene for an intriguing read on what can be a sensitive topic around faith and religion.
We quickly get to see Bilal and the internal trials and tribulations he is trying to process about his origins, family and what his legacy will be while faced with the last request of his dying mother.
We also get to meet his wife Miriam who in the short first look comes across as disinterested and cold while still very much admired by Bilal.
With regards to buying or reading more of this book I’m in two minds as I think it would be Avery honest read perhaps facing some difficult opinions within. However I’m but sure tha a novel based around faith and religion is really something for me or something that I would choose to go out of my way and buy. But still an interesting opening.
