Bilal is a not very religious Muslim who's hunted by his late mother wish of having him building a mosque in a small village in England. Little did he, or his late mother, knew just how much a simple wish can shake up the earth.
In our times, where we're more and more divided between faiths, countries and races, this is a must read. A lesson of the importance of bounding and acceptance, and how much a unified community can change fates. More than the main plot, I fell in love with Khala; a single character who builds up the meaning of love, understanding and friendship, without having to spare a word.
I must say I didn't have that high expectations, but was happily surprised with the novel. Once you start it, it's such an easy reading, you'll find yourself at the end in a blink of an eye.
