I am a murder man.
I don’t mean I’ve actually done the deed but I just love crime stories and these are my first choice.
However I must admit (if my friends aren’t reading this) I did really enjoy this delightful and gentle book.
This is a story about a country village and it would not apply to a city where everyone seems anonymous. Here however people are involved and concerned about local life and waves are caused.
But it is also very funny. Tom caused ructions with his bush. You have to understand that it stuck out a long way. People had to go round it! Blimey.
Thank goodness it got sorted in the end.
The fact that Bill liked to spend his spare time laying in his grave was funny as well. Must try that. I couldn’t understand why the sacking of his top man didn’t affect his business at all. I would have liked to hear more on that.
This did get over the fact that our lives are constantly changing and we need to accept that.
Loved it although I’m still a bit worried about Tom’s bush.
