I personally really enjoyed reading a YA book as it has been a while! I would say it’s perfect for younger teens as it has that innocence young love that is fun to read about. I am a little older than the targeted age range and I still throughly enjoyed the simplicity of the book and the journeys of the characters but at times I did tend to find it a little childish in comparison to what i’m used (nothing wrong with that though!)
I personally really enjoyed the South Asian aspect, being a part of that community myself, and I felt I could really immerse myself into the experience which is something I can’t typically do with many books.
I also really enjoyed the plot, as I never knew who Zara would end up with and that kept me enthralled but the only issue I would say I had was that Cami’s past was a little too vague and I think
it would have had some effect to go deeper into that as I could then connect with the characters deeper.
However, overall, I would recommend this book for some light-hearted fun and a nice, cosy, enjoyable read
