Enjoyed every page. Love the fact that I could relate to the characters and finally having a brown girl who looks like me as the main character. Fell in love with Zara’s mind. The plot was cute as well as interesting. Never knowing what will happen next due to the fact that it went the other way of I was thinking each time. Plot twist! Love love love the friendships, parent relationships, and romance displayed beautifully with all its confusion, imperfects, flaws and happy moments. All of Zara’s emotions were played out well and had events that led to the way she felt. This helped me as a reader to understand her and enjoy reading. When the main character had a dilemma, I stressed with them and made me feel as though I was going through her problems. The romance kept me on my toes as I never knew which was she was leaning to. One moment it’s this way the next it goes the opposite and repeats til we finally see who she goes best with. There are many modern references that were okay but some did make me cringe. Would have given it 5 if it didn’t mentions tiktok a lot of the time.
