While the book is well written and structured, I felt that it was aimed at a much younger audience than I had anticipated so I struggled to relate to the characters and did not finish reading the book. The characters were interesting and well written but I found the storyline a little tedious ended up reading something else. While I initially liked the front cover art work, seeing it in person it didn’t look as good as I’d anticipated, I much prefer more traditional styles and I don’t think I would have purchased the book for myself if I’d seen it but I may have purchased it for my younger nephews or nieces as I think they’d find it much easier to relate to the main protagonists and the themes in the book. As I did not finish the book I found it difficult to give it a fair rating so I opened for three stars as it may have got better before I gave up on it.
