This is this story of Zara a sixth form student who is obsessed with romcoms and falling in love, she has a great group of friends adnan and Sadie been her best friends. Adnan is her closest male friend and also his and Zara’s family are very close they have grown up together, Sadie is her female best friend there live of romcoms bringing them together. The story doesn’t really start until adnan needs Zara to pretend to be his girlfriend because the girl he is really seeing isn’t allowed to date because of something that happened in her past (we sort of find out a little of this at the end) Zara goes along with it all thinking that it will solve her problems but as is the case it just creates even more problems, while in the fake relationship Zara actually meets a boy that she actually really likes but it all goes pear shaped, it’s a little disappointing that we don’t find out if she ever gets him back
