The premise of this book sounded great with the fake dating and friends to lover, however, for me, it just didn't live up to it's potential.

I did like that this book had a Desi main character and gave Zara her main character moment, and I really appreciated that it emphasised the importance of other types of love, such as platonic love and familial love, and not just romantic love.

However, the characters in this book just annoyed me so much. I probably liked Zara the most but even she made decisions that were a bit stupid. Adnan was not a good friend to Zara and Cami was awful. Zara was helping these two yet they kept blaming her for things going wrong even though she was doing them a favour - Adnan definitely wasn't a good friend to Zara. Zara also kept saying that Adnan was her best friend but then in the next sentence Sadie was her best friend - I know you can have more than one but she really kept emphasising that one of them was her best friend.

I did like the romance with Yahya and I wish there was more of him as that was the only part of the book I really enjoyed.
