I was just so hooked onto this book. As a south Asian myself, it’s nice to see a romcom that represents the community and it was nice acknowledging the backgrounds we have. I loved how the author used Zara to portray her wishes of becoming a writer that captures the south Asian community in the romcom genre. This was so relatable and I felt well connected to the author. I would also say at some points in the book, I was so annoyed (I don’t want to give any spoilers but Zadnan!! No!) I liked the subtle plot twists in the story too; they genuinely caught me off guard!
I didn’t realise the front cover caught one of the scenes in the book which I’m slowly realising now and it was a great choice made by the author. I do think that the style of writing was good to read, how it changed from text to a narration was easy to grasp. All in all, it was a great read and I finished it in one day, which is really saying something!
