I was wanting a YA read that would get me out a book slump and this book did exactly that!
One of my favourite tropes is fake dating, and usually you expect them to be all the same storylines, but this book gave such a fresh and new take on fake dating that it made me remember why I love it so much! And I also found the side characters and their sub-plots just as interesting as the main characters, which I always enjoy. I did find it a messy plot, but when you compare it to life - who's life isn't a complete mess?!
One thing I usually like to do (don't hate me for it), is try and guess the ending before I finish the book; I did it with this book but I guessed completely wrong which surprised me - but I like being wrong!
I think I will definitely find myself going back and reading this in a couple of months, when I am looking for an easy YA book that will lift my spirits. I'll also be walking round recommending this book to anyone!!
