This was such a lovely YA read with a mix of characters. I loved the cultural reference to the Desi and how it helped me learn things about a different culture.

I don’t normally enjoy the fake dating trope. It’s normally a bit irritating and not realistic but I found this one to be enchanting.

I loved the dynamic between Zara and Adnan and how everyone was so determined that they would end up together.

The ending to this was lovely. And was the right ending. I’m glad that they didn’t try to convince the reader that they really fell in love after the faking it. I think this is the part I struggle with in normal romance novels.

I will be keeping hold of this one for when my girls get older as I think it is a lovely young adult book that both of my girls will enjoy and learn from.

Beautifully written and I loved the mixed media way of presenting the story.
