This is a great YA book that is a super refreshing rom com book. It is all about a girl named Zara and Adnan. She comes from a desi culture and a asian friendship group. Zara and Adnan have been friends since their childhood in which their parent hope for marriage to take place. However Adnan has a secret girlfriend to which he asks Zara to cover for him by fake dating and to make him happy she does it as well as keeping her parents happy in which she starts to fall for him herself. Whilst this is taking place she comes across another boy she starts to fall head over heels with. With this comes a bunch of confusion, jealous and mis understandings.
It will teach young teenagers all the perspectives open young love, trust, friendships, family etc. It is a fun YA teenage love story with a on going mystery of what is going to happen. First time reading a book from this author but will definitely do it again
