The cover of the book certainly didn't excite or entice me as much as the excerpt did, which is a terrible shame as I usually purchase a book on the first impression of the cover.
However, the beginning of this story grips you immediately, the setting of the cabin, the strange ness of the child, the mother's unknown family...... I would definitely love to read more
