Three Gold Coins is more than just a ‘light read’. It touches on mental health and female abuse.
Iv given it four stars instead of my first thought of three as the author has dealt with the subject matter extremely well.
I’m not sure if the book could have been even more successful had it not tried to do all things?
It would have been an amazingly great light read or, equally a brilliant insight into coping with mental health and or abusive behaviour in a relationship. The author could have written three different books each with their own story without trying so hard to incorporate them all into one.
Even so, it really was an enjoyable read, both touching and warming. As written by Paige Toon on the front cover ‘A gorgeously evocative family drama’.
